There are multiple ways to register for the conference:
WCB registration also includes an invitation to attend the opening Welcome Reception, on Thursday, June 18, 2020.
On Saturday, June 20, 2020, there will be a dinner at the Penn Museum, which includes access to the museum. There is an additional ticket cost for attendance. Attendees are welcome to invite a guest, but there is a limit of two tickets per registration attendee. Space is limited, so we encourage you to purchase tickets at time of registration.
Conference fees are tiered such that participants from countries with higher average income support those from countries with lower incomes; see here for how countries are grouped. All who are able to make an additional contribution, which enables more colleagues from low income countries to participate, are strongly encouraged to do so via the Colleague Support Fund.
WCB Registration (includes IAB fees)
Pricing includes IAB membership. Receive a 10% discount when registering for both FAB & WCB.
*Early Career Researcher registration type constitutes within 5 years of the terminal degree.
Penn Museum Dinner

If you must cancel your registration, all requests must be sent in writing to WCB Registration, 19 Mantua Road, Mt. Royal, NJ 08061 or email email@example.com and postmarked no later than May 15, 2020.
All fees paid will be refunded minus a $50.00 processing fee.
There will be no refunds after the May 15, 2020 deadline.
Registration Payment & VISA Requirements
Registration and payment to attend the FAB and WCB conferences are separate from the need to obtain a VISA to travel to the United States of America.
The Registration Desk will be located on the main Lobby East/West of Houston Hall on the campus of The University of Pennsylvania. Be sure to stop at the Registration Desk to check in and pick up your name badge and other important conference materials held at registration. Your admission and tickets for the evening events will be located behind your name badge if you pre-registered for these events.
Each attendee is responsible for picking up their own name badge from the Registration Desk. Attendees from the same group or center cannot pick up name badges for other attendees.
The Registration Desk Team will not hand out multiple name badges for members of the same group or center to a single attendee.
Registration hours will be posted after the program is finalized this Fall.
IAB and the conference organizers are pleased to offer a limited number of bursaries to help delegates who would not otherwise be able to attend the Congress. Applicants are only eligible to receive a bursary if they have submitted an abstract to WCB 2020 that has been accepted. You will be notified simultaneously of abstract and bursary acceptance. Note that this includes abstracts for all presentation formats.
Bursary applications will be reviewed by members of the conference planning group and the external advisory committee and will be awarded based on the reasons for needing support.
Particular consideration will be given to the applicants’ geographic region. Bursary support will generally prioritize applicants from low and middle-income countries, as well as a limited number of Early Career Researchers from high-income countries. If you are unsure if you are eligible for support, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Bursary support is intended to cover part or all of the following, based on need:
Reimbursements will be initiated on the last day of the conference. After the Congress, you will be asked to provide copies of your travel receipts (i.e. airfare, taxis, hotel portfolio, etc.).
Please upload the following two documents using the electronic application form to apply for bursary support. The application deadline has been extended until Monday, November 11, 2019 at 11:59 PM EST (Philadelphia Time Zone).
1.) A statement of needs of no more than 300 words in length. This must include details of what resources, if any, are available to you (the applicant) to support travel/conferences and how these are provided by your institution.
2.) Confirmation of necessity for financial support from your institution in the form of an official, one-page letter on letterhead. This can come from your Head of Department or Division, Business Administrator, Principal Investigator, or other appropriate individuals.
3.) List of submitted abstracts you are participating on for the Congress (submission ID and title required).
4.) List of additional or alternative funding to assist with cost for attending the Congress.
COLLEAGUE SUPPORT FUND
Please help us to support colleagues from low- and middle-income countries, and Early Career Researchers, by making an additional financial contribution!
As usual for WCBs, conference fees are tiered. Attendees from high income countries have the highest fees, and those from middle- and low-income countries, as well as Early Career Researchers, have lower fees. The principle of solidarity is therefore not merely the conference theme, but also underlies the fee structure. Likewise, at the point of launching the website, we have raised $50,000 for bursaries for participants requiring assistance with travel, accommodation, visa or conference fees.
At the same time, conference fees, even at the highest level, do not reflect actual cost, and we will likely have more demand for bursary support than we can meet.
The fee structure is intended to strike the right balance between acknowledging income inequalities across countries, and keeping things as simple as possible. But some participants may be able to make additional contributions, directly supporting others.
We encourage all to consider whether they are able to so, by contributing to the WCB 2020 Colleague Support Fund. All donations will go directly towards supporting low- and middle income participants and Early Career Researchers. Once conference financing needs are met, all surplus will go towards bursaries. And any funds that should remain once bursary needs are met will be transferred to the IAB to support colleagues at future WCBs.
You can contribute to the WCB 2020 Colleague Support Fund by clicking “Donate” below or during the registration process.
